Four 16 U players compete in Philadelphia

On February 18, four local 16 U AA players traveled to Aston, PA for the Eastern Junior Elite Prospects League (EJEPL) All-Star Game.  The EJEPL consists of 24 teams that are located up and down the East Coast.

The local participants included Goaltenter Will Callan, defensemen Quinn Alley and Nick Pinto, and forward Jaret Fritts.  They represented the Blue team, which won by a final score of 4-3.   The format of the game had a professional feel, as the players competed in three 20-minute periods with ice resurfacing occurring between periods.

All four local players played well against elite competition.  Callan played the 2nd period of the game, and did not allow any goals.  Part of this credit also goes to Alley and Pinto, the Blue team's only defensive pair that didn't allow a goal.  Both players ended the game with plus ratings as well.  Fritts was involved in multiple plays up front, and also ended the game with a plus rating.

These standout players have performed well this season, leading Hagerstown to a 16-2-1-1 record in the 16 U Diamond 2 division, which is Hagerstown's inaugural season in the league.
