We are proud to announce a charity hockey game between the Western Maryland Blueliners and the Baltimore County Firefighters.
This Police vs Fire match-up will be held on Sunday, January 6, at 7pm. Our rink features a fully stocked concession stand. We'll have prizes that will be auctioned off before and during the game. Bring the whole family to participate in this experience!
This charity game is held in honor of Peyton Swope, a local teenager who tragically passed away last summer in a car accident. Peyton's passion was music, and she was a member of the Northern Middle School marching band and jazz band. Peyton dreamed of attending the Barbara Ingram School of the Arts.
Peyton's family established a fund in her memory through the Community Foundation of Washington County (CWFC). The CWFC helps to collect donations that are used to fund the purchase of musical instruments for Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) students.
All proceeds from the game will go to Peyton's Promise. A donation of $5 per adult is requested. Come join us for a fun evening of fast-paced hockey as we honor a local student whose love of music will be shared with other WCPS students.
