Youth Skating Camp

Hagerstown Ice & Sports Complex recently featured a youth hockey camp organized by Frank Anzalone, a highly regarded coach and scout.  Youth hockey players from around the region learned various techniques to improve their skating stride and habits.

Anzalone is a former pro and college coach, and currently serves as the NCAA scout for the Calgary Flames.  He guided Lake Superior State to the NCAA Division 1 Championship in 1988.  The PACE Hockey camp focused on "over speed," which will train young players to be more explosive on the ice, learning how to skate hard with more confidence in all game situations.

This was the first time Coach Anzalone held a camp at the rink, which sold out in advance of the camp's registration deadline.  The rink looks forward to working with PACE Hockey again; contact Program Director Chad Ziegler if you would like more information on the next PACE camp.
