Local Architects Assist with Design of Second Rink

Hagerstown Ice & Sports Complex (HISC) is moving forward with designs for a second ice rink adjacent to the current rink.  Due to the unprecedented growth in all aspects of ice sports, including ice hockey, sled hockey and figure skating, this additional rink will allow for youth and adult ice sports to continue growing.

We have partnered with a local firm, Bushey Feight Morin Architects (BFM), to design the expanded facility.  BFM is the area’s premier architectural firm that has served the 4-state region for over 50 years.  Their expertise in building design made them the top choice for the expansion at HISC.

HISC is a city-owned, single sheet of ice built in 1997 and operated by the Hagerstown Ice Amateur Athletic Association (HIAAA).  Rink construction and building management practices have improved dramatically over the past two decades, which allow modern rinks to be more efficient and reduce expenses associated with utilities and maintenance.  We look forward to working with BFM as they design a modern and efficient rink for the community.
