Registration is Now open
The rink is ready to offer another Jr Hammerheads session this summer! We are excited to see everyone get back on the ice and into the game.
Players will be grouped by ability level. Experienced instructors will be on hand to help develop all aspects of hockey. Contact our Hockey Director Chad (contact info below) for more information.
- The session starts September 21
- The program is open to all players, ages 4-14
- The cost is $250
- Sessions will start at 9 am
- There will be 4 practices and 8 games.
- Experienced coaches will be on the ice to run drills and facilitate each session.
- Rental equipment is available at no cost.

Who can participate in these leagues?
This program is designed for kids ages 4 - 14. Leagues will be divided by age and skill level. Transfers between leagues may be made on a case by case basis, based on size and ability.
USA Hockey Registration is required.
What is it?
This league offers a "fun-based, non-competitive approach" to learning the basics of hockey. The emphasis will be on an introduction to, and the development of, playing hockey in a team environment.
This is a 12 session hockey program to include 4 practices and 8 games.
All games will be non-checking, full equipment is required and available to borrow.
What do I need to participate?
Full hockey gear is needed to participate in this program. Good news though! We have some available to rent / use or purchase while you participate in our programs. We know that the thought of having to purchase gear just to try a new sport can be discouraging so we keep a stock of gear to help to suit you up and get the kids moving.
Youth that participate in the Learn to Play program, ages 5-9, will receive a set of brand new equipment (including skates), as part of the Washington Capitals Learn to Play Initiative. The equipment is yours to keep. (Rental equipment is available for other players that did not participate in the Learn to Play program.)

All participants must have current USA Hockey registration before participating.
U.S.A. Hockey Registration
USA Hockey registration is required for this league. Follow this link to sign up with them. Ages 6 and under are free, others are approximately $45 and is valid until the fiscal year ends in August.
