Scout Skate

Schedule your Troop for a skating outing and get a fun scout skate patch!

Hagerstown Ice and Sports Complex welcomes Girl Scout, Cub Scout and Boy Scout troops and offers the opportunity to learn the wonderful sport of Ice Skating. We will put together a detailed schedule for your group to learn more about how an ice skating rink operates, what makes the ice stay frozen, a demonstration of the ice resurfacer, then teach everyone the basic skills of skating - falling safely and getting back up - forward striding - stopping - proper skating skills for c-cuts, swizzles, slaloms, and backward hustle. Lessons can be taught in either figure or hockey skates. Our professional coaching staff will teach all of the basic skills in a group settings.

For Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts

The cost is $12.00 per scout and includes the Ice Skating Badge, tour of facility, skate sharpening demonstration and ice resurfacing.  This can be scheduled during one of our public skate sessions.

A 10 person minimum is required, and we ask that you call ahead and make a reservation.
