Capitals Support Kodiaks' Fundraiser

Hagerstown Ice & Sports Complex benefits greatly from being a partner rink with the Washington Capitals.  The Capitals help our rink grow hockey throughout the region, which brings in a new generation of hockey fans and players.

The Kodiaks are this area's first sled hockey team.  The team is participating in the Washington County Gives 24 hours of Giving on May 2, 2017.  The donation period runs from 12:00am through 11:59pm on that day.  The Capitals have donated prizes to the rink to benefit several programs.  They likely saved their most unique donation for the Kodiaks, though.

The rink will auction off a Kodiaks’ hockey jersey, signed by all the Capitals players including their stars.  Along with the jersey, the highest bidder will also receive a flash drive full of high resolution pictures of individual players signing the jersey and posing with the jersey.  The package will also include a set of printed pictures.

Interested bidders must make their bids at the rink between April 29th and  by 9pm on May 2nd.  No online or telephone bids will be accepted.  All proceeds of this auction benefit the Kodiaks and are tax deductible.

If you have questions about the bidding process, contact Interim General Manager Elliot Martin.  To learn more about the Washington County Day of Giving and participating rink programs, check out our WCG page
