The Hagerstown Ice & Sports Complex (HISC) is pleased to welcome the Hagerstown Kodiaks, our newest hockey team!  

The Kodiaks are a sled hockey team comprised of individuals between the ages of 5 and 52. 

Sled hockey is a team sport which allows individuals with disabilities and injuries to play a competitive sport on ice.  This is the first program of its kind in the immediate 4-state region.  

Here is a news article from the Hagerstown Herald-Mail that describes a recent grant awarded to the sled hockey program.  These grant funds, accompanied by a very generous gift from an anonymous benefactor, provided the funds necessary to purchase ice sleds and equipment for all participants.  

This past week, many on the team took to the ice for the first time in their life.  What a fantastic way to meet new friends and compete in a team sport!
